Post Event Report

HackNight:21 was a 24 hour long hybrid hackathon organized by Sahyadri Open Source Community (SOSC). The hackathon lasted two days and had 100+ participants from Sahyadri. We conducted a Hybrid hackathon for the first time. We had participants from other colleges participating online and participants from our college participating offline in the college itself

The hackathon started on October 23 10AM. There were 4 themes in the hackathon: education, health, entertainment and an open theme as well.We even conducted activities such as capture the flag, red light-green light and many more to keep the participants engaged and energized throughout the event. On October 24 10AM the hackathon came to an end and the judging started.

The hackathon lasted two days and had 100+ participants and 20 Mentors/volunteers from Sahyadri.

The hackathon was judged by Sahyadri alumni Abhi Gatty, Jehad Mohamed and Musthaq Ahamad. The alumni gave valuable knowledge regarding hackathons to the attendees. Team Sharingan consisting of second year students Vinayak,Pavan and Samrat won first place. Team Data Pirates consisting of third year students Akhilesh,Anirudh,Jackson and Swasthik won second place in the hackathon. There were so many good projects that the judges had a hard time deciding the winners. So the judges even declared some honorable mentions. Team Frem-Dem, Team Hacker’s Den and Team Fnatics received honorable mentions.

We collected the feedback from the participants via a google form. This was by far one of the most successful events conducted by our community as we received hundreds of registrations as well as really positive feedback from all of the participants.
